How do you make your dice and keycaps?
I make my dice/keycaps using two part epoxy resin. I also make my own molds which are used for casting the dice/keycaps. All my dice/keycaps are cured in a pressure pot to eliminate bubbles. Once they are cured, I then sand and polish each one by hand. Additionally for dice I then hand paint the numbers.
How should I care for my dice?
Handmade dice should be stored in a cool, dry area out of direct sunlight. Sunlight can cause colors to fade over time. If your dice happen to get dirty, you can spot clean with a damp cloth. I do not recommend submersing the dice in any water or cleaner as this can cause the paint in the numbers to come off or damage the dice. Epoxy resin is very durable, but I recommend rolling the dice on softer surfaces to prevent any scratching.
How should I care for my keycaps?
Keycaps should not be kept in direct sunlight as this can fade the colors over time. If your keycap needs cleaning, I recommend a damp soft cloth. Once they are clean, they should be dried as much as possible using a cloth or other soft absorbent material and then left to air dry before being placed back on your keyboard.
Why aren't there any dice/keycaps for sale in your shop right now?
Currently I do 'shop updates' where I will list dice/keycaps on a preset date. These updates happen every few months. Resin crafting is not my full time job so I do not make a huge amount of items. I make and finish them as my schedule allows. Please check back regularly or follow me on Bluesky/Instagram to see if I have announced the next shop update.
Do you take commissions?
I rarely am able to open commissions at this time. If I do open them, you can find them on my ko-fi (https://ko-fi.com/ursusdice/commissions)
Do you ship internationally?
I currently only ship to the US and Canada. If you are outside of the US/Canada and would like to purchase an item that is available, please reach out to me using my contact form. I may be able to create a listing for you through my Etsy shop to ship to your country.
